February Wrap Up

This month is quite a small wrap up, I’ve had a cold for the last 2 weeks of the month which, sadly, stopped me from really getting in the groove. But happily I did get in a few naps!

What I finished
I did it! I finished the Star blanket I’ve been working on for so so long! Tell me why the stitching of all the squares together was the hardest part!
I did enjoy making it but holy moly 225 squares is a lot!

What I started/made progress on
Now that I’ve finished the Star Blanket I’ve started something new, which is a bit of an experiment and a bit of a learning opportunity for me. So I’ve got a Tunisian Crochet book, and I’m making my way through it making some little squares for each of the patterns it describes and I’m planning something for the outcome but we’ll see. It’s again an awful lot of squares…. why do I do this to myself?

Books I read
This is quite bad but I haven’t actually finished any books this month but I’m currently listening to A Discovery of Withces by Deborah Harkness.

I’ve actually been watching TV shows at the moment. I’ve been re-watching Criminal Minds and catching up on the latest seasons of Bob’s Burgers

So exciting to start a new project. I have to admit the worst part for me was sewing the squares together. Now I crochet the join and it’s so satisfying. x

Oh goodness, blankets with tons of squares are… intense. Kudos to you for making it through like that! I’ve had so many projects on hooks around my “corner office.” I went through a bit of business/crochet around January/February. I only just finished something recently… finally.

I’m back on my game but it took a lot of finagling to find the right rhythm for business, self-care, crochet, and school.

March is a new month! 💪🏻🧶 May the projects be fun, the stress be low, and the sicknesses stay at bay!

They are intense! I swear I’ve been “working” on it for a year! But I got the mojo back for it this year!
The burnout is rough, I’m trying my best this year to manage my expectations of myself.
Indeed may the projects be fun, stress be low and sickness at bay!
